Time Zones
Our Forum displays the time in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) which is the Universal Time (or UTC) for the World, which is the time that will show up on yours and everyone else's post.
Greenwich, England has been the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) since 1884. GMT is sometimes called Greenwich Meridian Time because it is measured from the Greenwich Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. It is the place from where all time zones are measured.

The Meridian Line is an imaginary line which runs from the North Pole to the South Pole. By international convention it runs through "the primary transit" instrument (main telescope) at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. It is known at Zero Longitude and it is the line from which all other lines of longitude are measured. This includes the line that runs 180° away from Greenwich also known as the International Date Line.

Posting Options
Options that you'll see when you post start a post.
You can always type any of these options in manually if you like,
but don't forget to close the code up with "[/...]" or it won't work !
You'll see what I mean in a bit...

Here's an explanation of what all of these options do:
![]()
Let's you insert a hypertext link within your post.
When you click this button first you will see this box pop up:
It's asking you for the web site address that you want to link to.
Enter http://url address of the page.
After you insert the address and click 'OK' you will see:
This is where you insert the text that you want viewers to read within the post
For Example: 'Click Here' is a popular one to enter.
Or you can put an image in there instead if you like as long as you format it like this:[IMG]http://url image address [/IMG]
If you leave the Script Prompt blank then the http://url address that you typed
will appear exactly the way you typed it in with the 'http://' in front of it.
You can also use this button to thumbnail an image.
When it asks for the 'URL' enter the url address of an image, then click 'OK'
When the next box pops up enter the 'URL' of the thumbnail image.
Or instead of using this button, you can always type in the code yourself:
Like this for a hyperlink showing text:
[URL=http://www.banatics.us]Banatic's Web Site[/URL]
Like this for an image that hyperlinks to another web site:
[URL=http://url website address][IMG]http://url image address[/IMG][/URL]
Like this to thumbnail and image:
[URL=http://url image address of the larger image][IMG]http://url thumbnail[/IMG][/URL]

Let's you insert an image within your post.
When you click this button first you will see this box pop up:

It's asking you for the url address of the image.
Enter the image url address with [IMG]http://url address[/IMG] around it

this text from there and it's already formatted for you.
Please don't Hotlink, it's rude...
Then click 'OK'.
Or instead of using this button, you can always type in the code yourself:
Like this for an image:
[IMG]http://url image address [/IMG]
There's also another whole section on how to post images if your new at it.

Let's you insert text that shows up as a different color.
When you click this button first you will see this box pop up:
Enter the text that you want to appear in a different color.
After you insert the text and click 'OK' you will see this pop up:
Click on the color of your choice and it will complete the code.
Or instead of using this buttons you, can always type in the code yourself:
But you must know the color in Hex code:
Like this for dark green text:
[col=#006600]Your dark green text[/col]
Here's one you'll rarely ever use.
It's for adding other types of code besides standard BBCode.
If you don't know all that stuff means then don't worry, you'll never have to use it.
